I do love Coffee! I am Italian, what do you expect?

I grew up with the smell of coffee around the house, watching my parents drinking espresso after every meal and whenever we had company over. So pretty much all day every day!

Coffee holds a very important role in the Italian culture: It is a ritual that defines the day!

Even if I have cut down on my coffee intake significantly since I have been pregnant with my first baby and also for health reasons, coffee still holds a very sweet part in my heart. It is a great drink, but there needs to be balance and moderation to everything, right?

But still love hanging out in coffee shop and still love the smell of coffee whenever I am walking down the streets of downtown San Luis Obispo. It has now become my special treat of the day!

Therefore, I decided to try this new natural coffee scrub recipe.

The Scrub benefits the health of our skin in many different ways. It removes dead skin cells through exfoliation as well as cleanse the skin and increase the body’s blood circulation.

Coffee is, on the other hand, full of antioxidants properties and it will leave your skin silky smooth.

¼ C coconut oil

¼ C coffee grounds

3 tbsp brown sugar

  1. Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

  2. Use it during shower of bath. For best results, after scrubbing, leave it on the skin for a-2 minutes and then rinse it off.

  3. Store any leftover coffee scrub the fridge (to prevent mold) and use the rest within two weeks.
