Vegan Parmesan Cheese

Parmesan Cheese is one of those ingredients that I must have in my house…always!! I sprinkle it on pasta, salad, rice, veggie…. it gives that last finishing touch that makes dishes taste delicious! 

However, our family lives a plant based diet and I feel like we need something to sprinkle on top of our meal!!

This recipe contains nutritional yeast which is a great source of vitamin B12 for us vegan people.

Another amazing ingredient is miso, a traditional Japanese ingredient, that helps improve digestion. Beneficial probiotics found in miso help combat digestive issues caused by an imbalance in gut bacteria, including constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating and IBS.

 So here is how you make this simple 3-ingredient vegan parmesan cheese. 


Prep time:  5 mins

Total time:  5 mins

Serves: 1 cup


  • 1 cup raw cashews

  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast

  • 1 tbsp miso


  • Combine all of the ingredients a food processor fitted with the "S" blade. Pulse until a fine meal forms. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
