MEET SARA

Hi everyone, and welcome to my website!

I am Sara and I am an Intuitive Health & Life Coach, Ayurvedic Counselor, Healer & Author.

I help spiritually conscious women to stop healthy food obsessing to save their mental health, relationships & lifestyle.

I am originally from Italy and I have been living on the Central Coast of California since 2014.

I love traveling and seeing new places -I love adventures and if you are a Sagittarius or know one, then you understand! - Following the wind… that is how I ended up here, far away from home. Don’t get me wrong, I speak in Italian to my son every day, love my culture, and miss my family, friends, and country, but I am happy where life took me.

Look at me now, living the California Dream! Never thought to end it up here, but California captures me with its beautiful diversity of culture and innovative open-mindedness.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I am inspired to live a holistic lifestyle for myself and my family...always searching new natural herbal remedies, reading about plants, plant- based food recipes and how to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

I believe Mother Nature provides us with everything we need to live a healthy lifestyle and believe we all have the power to heal ourselves.

I live following the rules of Ayurveda according to my body type. In my blog, I share some recipes that I use for me and my family.

When I am not spending time with my kids, working with clients, or on my youtube channel, you will find me hiking in nature, painting, or playing guitar.

MY JOURNEY

It all began when I was 16 years old. I started having issues with my body. I was suffering from bulimia and gaining weight, which is an unusual situation. I was totally lost and unhappy at that time of my life but then my mom took me to a dietitian to help me lose weight. I went further the other way and lost too much weight to the point where I was looking “too skinny” and It was starting to take a toll on me: I had no energy, I was counting calories all day every day and was obsessed with food.

Two years later, I was eighteen and started to see the light. Battling with the constant pressure to fit perfectly in society, I had committed my last year of high school to myself and myself only…I was in my final training to receive my black belt in Karate, studying intensively 3 different languages 6 days a week (with only 1 day off), working during weekends and spending time with my friends & family when I could. My determination and strength came from my dream to travel and see the world. And so I did.

I traveled to America woofing at organic farms, trading labor in exchange for room, board and experience. I then went to Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand.. and about 4 years ago I ended up in California. Through my journey, I became a vegetarian and lived in an ashram for a while, where I practiced meditation for most of the day. I started learning about Ayurveda and successively, I found myself studying it. I learned about my body type and what food is right for me. I got in touch with my body once again after years of struggling with different diets; I finally started accepting my body and made peace with it.

At age 25 I was suffering from low energy, chronic fatigue, chronic bloatedness and I would wake up every morning with pain along my spinal cord.

I felt old in a young body.

I finally decided to see a well known doctor in the area who helped me realize I was suffering from severe inflammation together with leaky gut syndrome.

Suddenly It all made sense. All the symptoms I had suffered in years had an answer...but at the same time I could not believe my ears...how could it happen to me?

I changed my diet, I  overcame my body image and now the root cause of all my symptoms was leaky gut? My small intestine was not working, therefore, I was not absorbing nutrients. I thought I was healthy by living a gluten-free, plant-based diet with lots of broccoli, kale and spinach every day..but little did I know that my gut needed extra help. My real journey and passion started then.

I changed my diet, I took natural supplements to help restore my tissues, I educated myself about this topic and read tons of articles and books and I finally turned to WHOLE FOODS.

I cut down gluten, dairy, processed food, processed sugar, the food I was intolerant to and made sure my daily diet was wholesome and rich in nutrients.

My pain disappeared in less than two weeks and within a month I felt completely rejuvenated. I cannot tell you how this feels.

But I can tell you this: It is why I am so passionate about health and wellness. Not because it's a trend, but because I believe we can heal from within.

I hope my story resonates with you and that you can find here everything you need to know to begin your healing journey.

I am so grateful to be sharing all of this with you right now. Hope we can walk this path together.

Sara
